Alexa Rose is an established artist, originally from the UK. Filled with wanderlust she moved to France in 2010 to be by the ocean, among the beautiful Landes forest and lakes on the south west coast of France. The natural surroundings heavily influence her style and thoughts on subjects, honing the style of her paintings, the passion for nature shows in her work.

From a young age Alexa and people around her realized that she had a natural flair and talent for the arts, going on to pursue her studies in art and design. Alexa started her professional art career as an illustrator, focusing on wildlife and selling her limited edition works worldwide and in leading high street stores throughout the United States

Having using a variety of mediums throughout her career, Alexa now specializes in oils. She enjoys the textures, strokes and richness in color. Using oils allows her to blend and manipulate the paint over longer periods of time as the piece evolves. Her paintings are contemporary and unique, the choice and blending of rich colors gives her works an impressionist style with a bohemian vibe.

Influenced by natural surroundings and combining a passion for wildlife. Alexa has a deep understanding of the importance of wildlife to humanity and their current plight. Her paintings have significant meaning to her and her subjects. Cohering the great passions in her life and believing it is such an important topic, 5% of every sale of an original work is donated to the World Wildlife Fund, this goes towards the great work they do in protecting endangered species around the world.
