Aleksej Grishkovec

I live and create my works in beautiful town Riga, Latvia.
I learn through my own research, my own feelings and experimentation.
Creating icons, I adheres to the old technology, which consists in using only natural materials: lime board, levkas with the addition of animal glue, as well as paints that I makes with my own hands from crushed natural pigments with the addition of egg emulsion. I also prepare the board for writing icons myself.
