BIO

Artist Alexandra Kraeva lives and works in Moscow, Russia. She is a full-time artist and works with graphics, acrylic and oil painting, collages, using mixed media. She creates mostly contemporary abstract and expressive art.

After graduating from Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts Alexandra has had contradictory experience in searching her personal style and using a wide range of techniques and media in her exploration of artistic expression.

In many ways, Alexandra’s views and preferences in style were influenced by the meeting and studies with Natalya Karpinskaya, an abstract artist, art historian and teacher of modern art and painting from New York.

Alexandra has been a regular participant at regional and international exhibitions (a 1st prize winner of the Tretyakov Gallery on-line still-life competition, January 2013) and contests. Her artworks are in private collections of Russia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and China.
