Bob Ross is piece #206 from the RockofAJs painted rock collection. Created in 2019 Bob Ross is a special piece within the RockofAJs Collection due to the way it uses its center point of gravity to sit completely upright without the assist of a leaning stand. Because of this AJ was able to paint both sides of this rock and display it with a 360 degree view. The name Bob Ross comes strictly from AJs creative mind and has no real life relation to Bob Ross the artist. Upon completion of this piece AJ sat and stared at it and the name Bob Ross felt right to AJ based off of his unique vision.

Each piece from this collection is carefully selected from the limestone rocks in central Texas. Once chosen, each piece is prepared and painted with the purpose of shedding light on the natural beauty of the individual rock. Although they are painted by man, the real beauty lies in the natural and unique characteristics of broken pieces of limestone. AJ strives to keep the rocks natural integrity intact while adding color in order to bring attention to the special features of the rocks.

This piece is created with a limestone rock found in Central Texas along with oil paints. The stand is made of wood and covered with red and black felt.

Caution should be had when handling and displaying any piece from the RockofAJs Collection. With this piece in particular needing even more care do to the balance that must be attained for the rock to sit upright. The rock is only as secure as the place at which it is displayed. Keep free of movement and excessive vibrations. Limestone is a very soft rock therefore impacts of any kind could damage the art.
