way to happiness describes the illusion of happiness that a Human Being seeks his entire life. As you can see the focus is on the white Pillar Patio, so white and beautiful that no one comes to the thought that it is just a made up place. There are no shadows of the Pillars to be found. Nevertheless the Garden is real but as the painting describes the focus to be on the white Patio where the eyes also gets stuck on. But once a person reaches the place, its too late to realize and falls down the hill.Happiness is also like this. we seek for one specific thing to make us happy, even though there are so many ways to be happy. The painting's motto can be described as "too good to be true" .
