Jaak Kindberg is a Twin Cities MN photographer, painter and sculptor. His work is currently being displayed in coffee shops, art galleries and ‘artist friendly’ retail stores throughout the metro area, Red Wing, Colorado and soon in Arkansas, Florida and Oregon. Jaak’s new line of found metal object abstract guitars and other instruments combines his passion for music, metal sculpting and bicycling.

I enjoy form, moving shapes and 3D art work. That’s why I am so drawn to sculpture. I like the depth, texture and unlimited size possibilities. A marble, a pyramid, the human body, a tree, a river and even guitars are a few things that have provided inspiration.

I try not to take life or my art too serious. It may sound strange but I look at art as providing a service, first to myself and then to others. For me, creating is a way to satisfy a need that comes from deep within my soul. It is a passion that has been burning inside me forever. My hope is, that in doing this for myself, I also serve others with a healthy dose of visual wonderment and pleasure. Or at the very least, puzzlement, confusion and lots more questions.
