Biography
Aare Freimann is a contemporary Estonian sculptor who initially studied painting at Tartu Art College. He began focusing on sculpture in 1986 and has worked as a freelance artist ever since. For Freimann, the most important aspect of his sculptures is the emotion they evoke. His creative process is cognitive and fluid, allowing the final result to evolve even as the work progresses. He emphasizes that his art is not about appearance but about the feelings it inspires. His colorful sculptures are designed to evoke contrasting emotions, often reflecting different aspects of the human mental condition. Freimann's work can only be fully experienced through an emotional connection.
