After the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, many people decided to leave Russia. Having received a humanitarian visa, I left the country where I lived all my life,
with one suitcase. The picture shows a queue for a bus on which it was necessary to go a long way - to be stopped first
by traffic police officers, later by FSB officers, and finally, to cross the border with Latvia for those who were let through at the Russian border, most
passengers are Ukrainians, I managed to talk to some of them and learn their history, in the picture I depicted images of people whom I remember. On the background
of all political moods, I decided to supplement this picture with two more, revealing emotions more.

Art residence in Moscow City, OPEN LONGEVITY. Project,
reflecting the ideas of transhumanism.
Transhumanism (from Latin trans - through, through, behind and homo - a person)
- a philosophical concept, as well as an international movement,
supportive use of science and technology
to improve the mental and physical capabilities of a person with
the purpose of eliminating those aspects of human existence,
which transhumanists consider undesirable - suffering,
disease, aging, and death.
Before working on the painting, I was amazed that some
people think of death as a problem that can be solved. I
the same as a person who has just plunged into this topic, I realized
how different is my idea of death. I thought
that this was something terrible, far from me, I always tried
not to think of death, to avoid these thoughts. This feeling is me
tried to convey in the picture, like a person, unconsciously
ignores such thoughts. Maybe if there were fewer people

Елизавета Повышева — современная российская художница. Основное внимание в ее творчестве уделяется взаимодействию с окружающей действительностью и ощущениями, возникающими в результате происходящего. Художница часто использует людей в своих работах, потому что считает, что зрителю проще отождествить себя с историей и прочитать чувства персонажа. Она часто сочетает живописные картины углем или черным маркером, но масляные и акриловые краски являются основным материалом для ее работ. Она надеется вызвать желание остаться на ночь и полностью погрузиться в картину, добавив в нее больше разнообразия.

Мысли об этой серии работ появились во время размышлений о трансгуманизме и гуманности. Мы обменивает жизни подопытных животных на попытку продления жизни человека. В наше время, когда процветают движения по защите животных, я очень мало слышу голосов о подопытных животных. И даже сама не знаю, нужно ли это. Когда я попала в лабораторию где изучают генетически модифицированных мышей и других животных, мне было безумно интересно, я как будто попала в новый мир, но при этом, переживания за страдания животных в этом месте остались у меня в голове спустя года.
