Norbert Fleischer, born 1955 in Darmstadt(Germany). After he finished school he completed training as a metalworker with Mercedes Benz. He has been living in Kassel since 1976. Throughout this period he has been a self-taught visual artist, and that continues to be his main profession.

Norbert Fleischer wurde 1955 in Darmstadt geboren. Nach der Schulzeit abgeschlossene Metallerausbildung bei Mercedes-Benz. Seit 1976 dauerhaft lebend in Kassel. Zu dieser Zeit autodidaktische Beschäftigung mit der bildenden Kunst, die bis heute sein Hauptberuf ist.
The paintings show shamanistic impressions and a turning towards the spiritual. Inspired by the dissimilarity of the materials and by transforming them into expressive art. The activity and communication of the created art is the signification.
