Original Artwork

Original Artwork refers to any work that is considered authentic and not a copy or imitation of the original works of an artist. Original artwork can be any type of painting, sculpture, performance, or other media. There are many types of original media. Mixed media includes oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

Казалось одноглазому, что генерация русских певцов-бардов-рокеров – Высоцкий, БГ, Щербаков и другие – имеет не меньшее значение для «мировой культуры», чем его имели в прошлом веке знаменитые русские писатели… Но потом он как-то их всех перерос, перечитал, переслушал, и ему пришлось самому заняться искусством, потому что без идеалов невыносимо жить и работать даже пирату. Это всё равно, что оказаться без крыши над головой. Или даже без палубы. Барахтаться в море. Захлебнуться от неимоверного количества солнца и свежего воздуха. Захлебнуться, не справиться - и превратиться в обезьяну, а вовсе не в бога... Хотя, как видите, он всё же в искусстве дикарь. Причем, дичает всё больше, ведь от него отшатнулась вся приличная публика... Слишком уж сильно он её порубал топором, превратил в винегрет и окрошку...

But then he somehow outgrew all of them, re-read them, re-listened to them, and he had to take up art himself, because even a pirate can't live and work without ideals. It's like being without a roof over your head. Or even a deck. Floundering in the sea. Choking on the incredible amount of sunshine and fresh air. Choke, fail, and turn into a monkey, not a god.... Although, as you can see, he's still a savage in art. And he's getting more and more savage, because the whole decent public has turned away from him.... He chopped it up too much with an axe, turned it into vinaigrette and okroshka.....

Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque. A watercolor is a water-based painting on paper. We rarely speak of a painting for a work painted in watercolor. Watercolor paintings are considered to be a unique way to creatively represent dreams, illusions, emotions and luminous feelings using water soluble pigments. However, painting with watercolors can be difficult. It's a difficult medium to master, in large part because it can be ruthless and unpredictable. Mistakes are difficult to correct and its fluid nature makes it difficult to control. Yet it is these very qualities that give the medium its undeniable charm.

Acrylic

Paint using traditional pigments mixed with synthetic resins.

Gouache

The substances are diluted with water and rendered pasty and opaque by the addition of gum and honey. The colors become opaque and can, therefore, be superimposed, which makes one paint with gouache as with oil. The gouache is recommended by its bright, fresh and delicate tones.

Technic Drawing

Drawing is a technique of visual representation on a flat support. The term "drawing" designates both the action of drawing, the resulting graphic work, and the shape of any object. It is also a representation on a surface of the shape (and possibly the light and shadow values) of an object or figure, rather than their color. There are a large number of drawing techniques: “Linear drawing” represents objects by their outlines, edges and some characteristic lines; beyond this limit, the drawing develops by representing the volume by shadows, often by means of hatching, incorporates colors, and joins, without clear transition, the painting.
