И ещё замечаю, что у всех одна, две, максимум, три любимые мысли , и они всю жизнь с упоением ездят на этих коньках и всем про них рассказывают, как они хороши, а чужих коньков отвергают как ереси, с негодованием отвергают, крутят пальцами у виска, мол, ну какое может быть сравнение с нашими. Например, те же пророки библейские всем отрядом всю тысячу лет рьяно крутили две мысли: свой бог лучше чужих и надо вернуться к праведности (не попытались даже сопрячь одно с другим, ведь так ли хорош свой бог, если его хочется бросить и если и с ним праведности тоже лишаешься? если он только море раздвиг, а в обычных случаях его и не видно, так что самому не плошать постоянно приходится... Сами своего бога ни разу не видели, боялись даже имя его произносить - но призывали к нему вернуться! Куда возвращаться?! И для чего? - чтобы бояться?)

They themselves never saw their god, they were afraid to even pronounce his name - but they called to return to him! where to return?! And for what? - to be afraid?)
Мать моя тоже как такой древний пророк... - после чего удивляется, почему она всем надоела и ее никто уже слушать не хочет, кроме совсем уж темных людей, у которых и таких лампочек, свечечек нет, или они их уже потеряли...
