Vigor Calma

I had a very philosophical father and a very creative mother. So I was born with artist genes, I guess. My mother always supported any creative experiments of me.
My life as an artist started officially in 1994. With pornographic S/M illustrations for a couple. I was payed 50.- € per drawing. It led me directly to my destination. After some months I slid into the famous KitKat Club, Berlin, where I had big success with doing blacklight artworks for the club and private collectors.
In the year 2002 I made a series of erotic oilpaintings for the Darkside Club, Berlin, which opened up the way for new customers and bigger success.
2006 till 2008 I lived on Ibiza. Light and warmth there offered new inspirations for new artworks, new techniques, new themes.
2012 was the year of my biggest changes in artistic expression. I changed themes, material and intention. I made paintings in gold and copper acrylic. Mainly on oval canvases. And teach painting was meant as ritual picture. Meditation tool. Reminder. Inspiration. Healing mirror.
2015 I escaped winter and landed on Cyprus. Like on Ibiza I found the right light and warmth to float in creativity. Silence and dreams are the room I get my energy and ideas from.
