My muse has always been nature and in particular animals, painted in nature but also in Renaissance settings.
Even the techniques I use are mostly ancient techniques such as egg tempera, described by Cennino Cennini
in a famous treatise on early Renaissance painting.
As regards the oil painting technique, I usually love preparing my colors by mixing natural pigments with linseed oil and adding resins such as Dammar to make them brighter, as the ancient Flemish used.
