Poetisa Clementina Suárez Zelaya, QDDG
He was born on May 14, 1902 in the town of Juticalpa, department of Olancho, in the Republic of Honduras. Married to the famous painter and sculptor José Mejía Vides; Clementina Suárez is one of the fundamental names of avant-garde Honduran poetry.

Clementina Suaréz was the daughter of the marriage between Mr. Luis Suaréz and Mrs. Amelia Zelaya Bustillo, as well as the great-granddaughter of the lawyer and politician Felipe Bustillo provisional president of the state in 1848 and granddaughter of the marriage composed of Nicolasa Bustillo Ayala and Adán Zelaya.

Clementina Suárez, was a passionate Bohemia of the cafes. Since she was a little girl she used to go where she wanted and do what she wanted. It did not bother her to be the only woman who frequented the tobacconist of "Mamá llaca" in the La Ronda neighborhood of Tegucigalpa.

She was a woman who adored the company of men in all forms, she loved being surrounded by talents, energy and ideas. In fact, Clementina's education was the people.

Clementina Suarez was called the "New Woman" of Honduras. He was wearing shorts and a swimsuit; He celebrated his body not only in his life but also in his poetry. It was liberated, independent and frank. Tegucigalpa was scandalized and intrigued by her. And although she was the first woman to publish a book in Honduras, people were more interested in their lovers than in their poetry.

In December of 1991 the delinquency was merciless with this noble Poet. The Poet Roberto Sosa gave him his last interview. Woman and Poet Or to be more complete with its indivisible human condition: Woman Poet. Clementina Suarez is like this: Woman by the grace of her sex, which she has known how to exalt to levels far above the usual muérgano; and Poet by inclaudicable destination, the only one of its kind that has achieved here, until today, to exercise such an office with sufficient property and transcendence.

If there were only one word to extract his long life trajectory, I would propose: intensity to the last drop of light possible. For that reason, Clementina Suárez has professed at the same time the most legitimate of loyalties: authenticity, which supposes, in spite of what has been established, not to let oneself be subjugated by that one, not to give obedience to its various and varied fueros. She has lived to grow. His heart, firearm, has pierced cleanly the shells of fixity, surrender or compliance. To live intensely is to endure, but only the voluble, the irreducible, the inordinate last. His words could be the words of the immortal Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector: "I do not want the terrible limitation of the one who lives only from that capable of making sense".

In the same way his poetry has not been alienated, in any of his verses, to such a beautiful destiny. Life and work have grown braided, coyuntadas by the firm and fecund passion to exist, to endure. The work of Clementina Suárez is, therefore, one of the most genuine and exemplary testimonies that can be found within the literary tradition of Honduras. Not knowing his name, however effusive of a goat that abounds in an environment like ours, would be like depriving our lyrics and, why not, a significant period of the current Honduran cultural formation, a voice, an attitude with foundational characters. Life and work are erected, therefore, in predecessors milestones of a way of doing, in a way of being iconoclastic, eclosive, undoubtedly necessary to enhance any process of material and spiritual transformation, as defined by the Poet Rigoberto Paredes to this Poet Honduran

In 1970 he received the National Prize for Literature "Ramón Rosa".

Tomás Amaya (Thommy)
Honduran by birth of the municipality Teupasenti el Paraíso C.A.

I am a self-taught painter and Ambidextro who began to draw at the young age of 8 years with a single charcoal pencil HB in my youth I managed to make more than 200 pencil drawings in charcoal, colors, and markers of which by the disaster of Hurricane Mich I lost Most of them are only three of whom are still in my custody. At the age of 15, I asked my father to enter the School of Fine Arts, which he flatly refused, receiving from him the hurtful words "You will die of hunger". selling paintings in the central park of Tegucigalpa¨ and then enrolling in the Central Institute Vicente Cáceres, in the career of Commercial Expert and Public Accountant, where with my commercial experience I was able to obtain several titles, recognitions and positions of leadership in the public sphere and private. My love of art and the desire to fulfill my dreams never died, in the morning I worked and at night and in the early hours of the morning I drew, I decided to make my first exhibition after losing my job and after the separation of my wife and my son, which has been my greatest inspiration to which I have portrayed several times, I started with the charcoal pencil technique and with several shades, I continued with the technique of charcoal bars, sometimes the technique of ink, then the technique of pastel chalk dry, continue with the tempera technique, then the acrylic technique and finally the oil technique, achieving today to create again 156 works between drawings and paintings which are also under my custody.

Thinking about art
Art is the life of each artist, the pure and clean feeling of each person who has talent, art is life, is to express our thoughts, painting and drawing come out of our mind as a feeling and is concretized by means of our hands as a beautiful creation, divine passion of each being, of each artist that inside them there is a seed that the divine creator sowed, a talent that opens up paths and spreads light and hope to all who enjoy the true feeling called: Art. Art is something that can not be expressed in so few words, because it encompasses an infinite space both in the one who creates it and the one who enjoys it.
