'Crown Flowers'
Size 22 x 15 inches (56 x 38 cm).
The Crown Flower is a poisonous plant. The leaves and stem when incised yield thick milky juice. The plant can be a large shrub or small tree that is native to India, southern China, Malaysia, and Indonesia but has been extensively cultivated in tropical areas around the world. This plant plays host to a variety of insects and butterflies. The plant yields a strong fiber (known as "tative yarn" in Indian industry) used in the manufacture of ropes, carpets, fishing nets, and sewing thread. Cotton from this plant can also serve as a filling for pillows.
Original watercolor painting - painted on watercolor paper (Saunders Waterford). Need a decorative frame. On the front side in the lower right corner - the author's signature. Include a certificate of authenticity.
