The deeds of ELIZABETH BATHORY, the famous and infamous countess born in Nyírbátor (Hungary), are still surrounded by horrible and cruel legends. According to the position of history today, little is true of the many atrocities she was accused of. She fell victim to unknowable political intentions. She was walled in the castle of Čachtice (Csejte) because of falsely accusations. She lived there for the rest of her life until she was insane from the confinement.

Based on her contemporary letters considered authentic, she was clearly a kind-hearted noblewoman blessed with social sensitivity. She also dealt with healing, her castle operated as a hospital, the widow alone managed hundreds of thousands of acres of land, supported peregrinus students studying abroad, and treated her serfs with love. She was a strong, rich, beautiful, and intelligent woman who stood her ground even without a man. No wonder she won the dislike of the warlords and nobles of the 16th century.

We will never know what the truth is about the bloodbaths, the devilish practices, the torture, the massacre of the 650 girls that the loving mother allegedly committed.

History has made her a cruel monster, a ‘dragon’, anyway. The fantasy portrait depicts Elizabeth struggling with her bleeding tears as the innocent woman turns into a dragon. Into the brutal dragon as we remember her today. There is no authentic contemporary portrait of her, so my imagination may have soared.

There are three dragon teeth in the coat of arms of Elizabeth Bathory because according to the family's legend, one of their ancestors killed the dragon hiding in the Ecsedi bog.

That killed dragon may have taken revenge. On Elizabeth.

We have one thing in common, the Countess and I, we were both born in Nyírbátor.

I do SOUL PAINTING ART.

Soul painting is a soul therapy. My art tries to heal the hearts.

All of my artworks have a special meaning behind, each one is a personal or universal message.
I would like to use art as a sort of remedy for body and soul. I would like to give strength, positive energies, hope and relief in uncertain times.

My goal is to bring art closer to people by making it a personal experience. Thus art achieves its true purpose: it is able to impress, to impact, to have an effect on human mind and soul, what it is meant for. This is my mission.
