Susan Yin, a talented self-made artist and designer based in New York, has dedicated herself to exploring sustainable concepts. Through her laborious studies and experiments, she has discovered the revolutionary potential of hemp. This energy-efficient and carbon-absorbing material is not only non-toxic but also offers numerous benefits for both people and the environment. Hemp acts as a bioremediator, sequestering carbon during cultivation. In the sustainable building industry, it serves as a virtually carbon-neutral, bio-based product that can be used in various applications. Additionally, hemp can be locally produced as a renewable agricultural resource, eliminating the need for multiple agrochemical products. Its cultivation can also play a vital role in reactivating and strengthening rural economies. 

Susan Yin's work is a fusion of Japanese philosophy, Scandinavian design, and a global perspective on embracing imperfection. She combines fine art, design, craft, and sculpture to create unique pieces. Her hemp sculptures are inspired by natural and biomorphic shapes, and she meticulously crafts them using a slow-moving technique.
