A solitary lady (we know that she is pretty even if we don't see her face) is waiting for an approaching train. This picture is about a personal experience of a quiet and yet emotional scene of departure of someone dear. In terms of its painterly qualities it transposes the sensuous moment into simplified patches of light, tone and colour.

I was born in Poland. I was awarded MA Fine Art degree in painting by the Academy of Fine Art in Krakow in 1992. I was a prize winner at Confrontations of young artists of Southern Poland. I was awarded Postgraduate degree in Art and Design in Education by the University of London's Institute of Education in 1997.
My art had been exhibited in Poland, Greece, France and UK. Many of my artworks decorate apartments and private collections in the USA, the UK, Poland, Greece, Spain, Italy and many other countries. Apart from painting I have also produced illustrations to several published books of poems. My drawings have been published in UK national newspaper "The Mail on Sunday".

My artistic credo is to create something that is good and unique. I'm not looking for originality at all costs, but rather to create tensions and emotions in common, everyday themes. When I look at my painting after a few hours of work, there is no place for anxiety and worry in my psyche.

In 2018, the city of Sanary-sur-mer selected one of my paintings for their annual Hanging Art exhibition.

In February 2022, the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage awarded me with a prize for creative achievements. Currently, I share my time working between UK and Poland.

I my case, making art and sharing one's experiences with others is life's ultimate fulfilment.
