ABOUT VARANASI
Varanasi is the India of your imagination. This is one of the world's oldest continually inhabited cities, and one of the holiest in Hinduism. Pilgrims come to the Ganges here to wash away sins in the sacred waters, to cremate their loved ones, or simply to die here, hoping for liberation from the cycle of rebirth.
According to Hindu mythology, Varanasi was founded by Shiva.
The city has long been an educational and musical centre: many prominent Indian philosophers, poets, writers, and musicians live or have lived in the city, and it was the place where the Benares gharana form of Hindustani classical music was developed.

Sergei Reoutov ist ein britischer Fotokünstler mit Sitz in London. Seit 30 Jahren ist er als künstlerischer Leiter in der kommerziellen Veranstaltungsbranche tätig.
Seit seiner Jugend ist die figurative Kunstmalerei seine Leidenschaft. Seine erste Einzelausstellung fand während seines Studiums an der Akademie für Architektur und Innenarchitektur statt. Seine ersten Kunstwerke fanden schnell Abnehmer bei Privatkäufern.

Für jede seiner künstlerischen Ideen legt Sergei großen Wert auf die Wahl des Ortes. Er reist zu mehr als 40 abgelegenen Orten auf der ganzen Welt, von Mikronesien bis zum Amazonas.
Sergeis Werke wurden in renommierten Magazinen wie National Geographic, Lonely Planet und anderen beliebten Kunst- und Reisepublikationen auf der ganzen Welt veröffentlicht. Seine Werke sind auch Teil von Privatsammlungen in Frankreich, Großbritannien, Italien und den Vereinigten Staaten.
