Great work of art from the Alhambra Palace, Granada (Spain) and the vibrant designs and culture of Morocco is usually reflected in most of my pieces. It is a combination of modern geometric abstraction with the tradition of Islamic art, highlighting the true concept of hard-edge art style. Through variations in sizes, shapes and the use of soft and hard colour tones, these interlocking and overlapping elements create the illusion of depth and produce an aesthetically pleasing and visually eye catching compositions that captivate the viewer with a kaleidoscope of visual interest.

I have always been attracted to abstract geometric art. When I started out as an art student I was looking closely at the art, artefacts, and architecture of both western and non-western cultures. Being brought up in Lahore, Pakistan – a city rich in culture and history I had all the opportunities to visit, see and feel attracted to the beauty of Islamic art, architecture and geometry in details.
The simplified beauty of a single geometric form always allured me to create something exciting and different with a refreshing modern twist. Each of my paintings is a symmetrical, proportional and a balanced arrangement of recognisable shapes coming together to generate a myriad of stunning designs that captivate the viewer with a kaleidoscope of visual interest. An interesting manipulation of vibrant colours and light makes my work pop out as a stunning piece of art.
