Salvo Di Stefano was born in Rosolini (SR) 3 May 1967. Shortly after, because the transfer of the work of his father, the family moved to Gela where he remained for some time until the first years of university, after which he returns the hometown. Although his work was inherent in the computer field, his mind, not rational, finds inspiration in the study of the great painting and especially in reading the manuals on Caravaggio considered by the largest representative among them. Begins the first steps in 2006 by portraying what is part of his life, his past inspired the French Impressionists treated in a modern way. He is delighted to call himself "a dauber of canvases while the artists are quite another thing!" But despite his humility, still managed to realize that his paintings dirty can transmit those vibrations that he feels the time that he paints. Precisely for this reason that what began as a time to relax and then be cut out in his spare time, he became more and more a moment of everyday life.

The works of Salvo Distefano: The Artist's Palette is affected of his land: Sicily, warm colors, vivid, lively, Mediterranean ... Distefano loves to test and use various painting techniques (spatulas brushes, pencils, inks ), the favorite subjects are horses (his passion) but there are landscapes and seascapes. His style can be seen as a modern impressionism and in every painting you can capture a different frame of mind given by touch and by the range of colors used.
