The use of monochrome intensifies the emotional gravity of the scene, focusing the viewer’s attention on the expressions and gestures without the distraction of color.
Ritchelly Oliveira, born in 1993, Brazilian, visual artist, studied visual arts at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), began his work in 2012, where he began to take his first professional steps in the plastic arts. He found in the human figure an opportunity to present his speech about what he understands as the deepest aspect present in affective relationships. He talks about what he suspects to be love and believes it to be a universal feeling. It proposes what is common to Man, even though we know that this love brings something that is also individual and particular. His work is placed where talking about affectivity is also talking about wounds that often never close, as it requires courage for the individual to continue with their emotional experiences.
