René Goxes, a contemporary French painter, originally hails from Gruissan, France. His journey into the realm of art commenced against the backdrop of a career in architecture and construction. Driven by a profound passion for art, Goxes, a self-taught painter and lifelong designer, embarked on a transformative artistic journey at the age of 40.

The pivotal moment came when he joined the workshop of the esteemed art teacher, Marc CHAMPIEUX, a master in plastic arts and painting. Goxes dedicated six years to honing his craft under Champieux's guidance. This period of mentorship and learning laid the foundation for Goxes' distinctive approach to painting.

Goxes' artistic process involves meticulous preparation, beginning with the creation of preparatory drawings on Canson paper. The transition to the canvas unfolds in Payne's gray, as he employs a diverse array of tools such as brushes, knives, cloth, and even his fingers. The culmination of each piece sees a deliberate touch of red, contributing a unique and signature element to his work.
