Carl Jaunay is a contemporary French sculptor, designer and “Reanimator of objects”. Under this poetic term hides a real passion: bringing abandoned objects and materials back to life. Jaunay values their history and makes recycling an Art by offering works in metal, wood, glass and bronze. He reuses “often historical” rusty metal, sometimes adorned with Eiffel-type rivets, but also old tools, to transform them into sculptures, lighting and furniture.
The pangs of time then turn into a source of inspiration, contributing to the uniqueness of the piece. Rust becomes the artist's alley, metal becomes lighter. With atypical creations, which remain and which last, the artist reveals the material, sublimates the patinas which bear witness to the imprint of time.
