The association of the terms "sports" and "arts" expresses for me the idea of a proximity between the work of the athlete and that of the artist. Both must work relentlessly and without compromise to attain great and beautiful achievements. But the successes of athletes, like those of artists, are only possible thanks to struggles for possibilities that only they can see. Performance as such is preceded by the vision of what is possible. In other words, the possibility of the possible precedes the effort and the decision to achieve it at all costs. Among top athletes, there is this tendency towards perfection, surpassing oneself and the internal need to achieve what is possible. Just like artists. There is in the practice of sport this element of irrationality that we find in the practice of art. It is high-level athletes and great artists who make us aware of this. It is in this sense that, in my opinion, sport constitutes a metaphor for art.

The search for happiness is at the heart of my artistic work. My pictorial space and my poetic imagination are nourished by representations, shapes and colors that are endlessly renewed. But always in the same direction and in an ever-renewed tension.
If painting is a source of pleasure, the pleasure it provides is never enough in itself. It is tending towards something that goes beyond the artist and takes its source in an inexhaustible pictorial space. To paint is to experience identity in change, permanence in movement, eternity in time. If the pictorial act is fleeting, it nevertheless inscribes its character in a permanent tension identical to itself. If the work is always linked to a defined and detailed pictorial situation, the creative act remains faithful to itself. It is immutable. Question of artistic power!
As strange as it may seem, I define my work as an exploration of color that I seek to understand. Before re-appropriating them in my pictorial space, the colors belong to the outside world, they exist outside of me. Yet a simple glance is enough for them to penetrate my imagination and invade my thoughts. It was quite natural that I began a dialogue with them since childhood. The realization came when I decided to get involved in painting. For the artist, the material is infinitely rich and varied. And unlike the space of the canvas which is circumscribed, my pictorial space has no limit. It’s dizzying! The colors are always organized in a tension and a logic which respond to the same internal necessity, immutable and obsessive. I made colors into a language and a personal thought. My creative approach consists of transmitting this triple exploratory, dialogical and reflective experience.
