Portrait painted in the style of POINTILISM. This is my favorite style. Sometimes, when I feel that this style is suitable here, I use it.
I am also interested in portraits that reveal all the complexity and versatility of a person's spiritual appearance.
Painting a portrait on canvas is a difficult, fascinating, but very interesting activity! My experience in painting is huge - more than 50 years. And while working on a portrait, I study a person's face and try to fully understand it. And by the end of the session, I learn a lot about a person - what character, what he likes, what he loves, what not loves ... Why and from what wrinkles on the face. From what thoughts the nasolabial fold appeared.
Portrait! This is an interesting book to read! And with each (page), brush stroke, you open up new horizons in the knowledge of man! As a child, I began to paint self-portraits. And then I wondered what I would be like in 10, 20 or 50 years, whether the years lived and the suffering of the past would affect me. And how it will look on canvas, and whether you need to hide the truth or embellish the latter.
I remember Rembradt's self-portraits (they struck me a lot in childhood): When he portrayed himself in his youth, these were cheerful paintings. Then there was a period of maturity, where he was with a glass, and Saskia was sitting on his lap! It was magnificent, nothing foreshadowed the subsequent collapse ... And here is a self-portrait in old age - where a man and his tragedy of loneliness are depicted ...
I also have a series of self-portraits from my youth to the present day, while my passion for creativity and optimism does not give me a reason to write with a tragic bias.
Every day I try to create pictures with a life-affirming direction and mood. I turn on beautiful music and paint pictures with great creativity and passion!
