Born in Bulgaria, Rado Radoslavov completed a Masters in Fine Art in 1996 at the University of Veliko Tarnovo. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions in Europe, particularly in Austria, Bulgaria and the Netherlands. He moved to New Zealand in 2001 and since then his paintings grace many private collections around New Zealand and Australia. If trying to define in some short way the works he creates one could call them just another world. It is an enigmatic world that invites you to puzzle it out, a place of strange rituals with no gravitation, a world where everyone can find a favorite place and personage. The pure colours allure, the personages remind of something familiar but distant. Most of his works are very expressive, filled with intense emotion and nerve. The question about the frequent change in the way of expression does not exist for him -in this regard he relies on his inspiration and intuition. The gathered impressions and experiences provoke the changes themselves. The tonalities he uses are also purely intuitively selected - sometimes muted to the lowest vibration of a particular tone, sometimes frisky and vibrant.
