Cotton paper / Papel de algodón "Fabriano Rosaspina" 285gr/m2.

EN/ "The Operator"
Acquaforte and Tusch with metal leaf details.
Conceived as an image intended for meditation on the represented theme:
"Which “glasses” do you observe the world through? Which beliefs and paradigms guide your life?"
It is said that the word Abracadabra comes from Aramaic and means "I create what I say". Our thoughts and words build our reality. Each choice and act are materializations of a previous thought.
We are the operators of our own life's journey. We must learn to master our thoughts in order to keep the right course, they are the “glasses” through which we perceive the road.
In this work, “Abracadabra” also refers to choosing a magical mentality: allowing ourselves to be guided by intuition, taking nothing for ordinary, understanding life itself is a miracle.

Pia Nicotra is a contemporary artist from Argentina. Her work as an artist is inspired by her interest in the metaphysical and esoteric in a time when collective awareness is shifting and spiritual pursuits are turning inward. She develops symbolic images to communicate with our inner selves, our mysterious side, our unconscious energy and characteristics. Her paintings don't strive to provide solutions; instead, they create symbolic worlds with which to interact intuitively. Her artistic practice is an expression of a spiritual journey, and reflects her interests in Kabbalah, meditation, metaphysics and cosmological theories.

Pia Nicotra was born in 1986, in Argentina. She lives and works in Italy.
