Philippe Mayne, a Belgian photographer born in 1966, began exploring the world of photography at the age of 12, capturing portraits of the famous tennis player Jimmy Connors. After receiving training at Belgavox, he pursued his passion by joining military service as a photographer and video manager of the NBC section at the Engineering School in Jambe (Namur) in 1986.
Subsequently, Philippe broadened his horizons by becoming an actor and understudy for cinema in Paris until 2012. During this period, he had the opportunity to collaborate with emblematic figures of French cinema such as Jeanne Moreau, Roger Hanin , Jacques Deray, Patrice Leconte and Alain Delon, for whom he was the understudy from 1993 to 2010.
Back in Belgium, Philippe turned to directing music videos and short fiction films. However, it was in 2016 that he decided to definitively return to his first passion, photography, this time as a professional.
Her photographic style is varied, ranging from lifestyle to fashion to boudoir, nudes and landscapes, all captured in color or black and white. As an autodidact, he draws inspiration from various sources and enjoys exploring different facets of photographic art.
In recent years, Philippe has mainly devoted himself to feminine beauty, but his work is not limited to a single style. His photographs were published in several magazines and received praise, which encouraged him to pursue his artistic path. Today, the sale of his images as limited edition works of art represents for him the ultimate accomplishment of a passion that has become a profession.
