Paule Guerin was born in 1981 and currently lives in France, where she works as a visual artist. Her artistic journey is rich and diverse, marked by a passion for color and textures, which she expresses through varied mediums such as gel pen, pencil, pastel, conté and ink on paper.
She studied at Atelier Clouet in Paris in 1998-1999 before continuing her training at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where she studied from 1999 to 2023. These years of training solidified her expertise and unique approach to monochromatic and figurative drawing as well as landscape drawing.
Inspired by Degas, Paule Guerin developed a style that highlights the essence of her subjects through elegant and dynamic monochromatic drawings. His works are distinguished by their sensitivity to light and their ability to capture the present moment with remarkable precision and delicacy.
His work is characterized by a particular attention to light and textures, which is reflected in his landscapes and figurative drawings. After a career as a designer specializing in colors and materials, Paule Guerin returned to drawing, finding a freedom and immediacy in this art that allows her to capture something profoundly true.
His nude drawings, in particular, demonstrate his talent for capturing the energy of the moment and the essence of each model, combining an ascetic approach to drawing with a spontaneity necessary to achieve artistic authenticity. Paule Guerin's works are thus a continuous exploration of light, form and texture, always marked by a sober elegance and vibrant dynamics.
