There is no right or wrong in this situation, no good or evil, just two creatures fighting for both their own survival and their survival of their descendants.
My painting depicts a Gyrfalcon planning to attack a Siberian Accentor, only a wingbeat away from her.
They are frozen in time, and their future is uncertain.
Will the Gyrfalcon win and feed her chicks, or will the Accentor get away?
It’s impossible to know.
We can only wonder and appreciate these creatures as they are in this minuscule moment of time.
