This is an oil painting of fishes in a pond, I paint it in a Chinese ink painting technique which is called "Xieyi", the sentences on the top right corner is abstracted from "The small tarn west of the Knoll" by Liu Zongyuan who is a Chinese poet, the literal meaning of the sentence is "There were about a hundred fish in the[...]
This is an oil painting of fishes in a pond, I paint it in a Chinese ink painting technique which is called "Xieyi", the sentences on the top right corner is abstracted from "The small tarn west of the Knoll" by Liu Zongyuan who is a Chinese poet, the literal meaning of the sentence is "There were about a hundred fish in the tarn, and they seemed to be gliding through empty space without support." It can also mean that those fishes are swimming aimlessly. This is what I feel when I am working through different projects and feel like losing myself when creating artworks.
