Mathilde DeBellecombe is a contemporary French painter. Playing between the abstract and the figurative, the treatment of space and the composition are certainly influenced by her training as an interior designer. Five years spent in Argentina strongly marked her work, particularly in the treatment of color, contrasts, and material.
In DeBellecombe’s paintings the omnipresence of white, worked as a color in its own right, structures the space and guides towards a small door, of the artist’s inner world.
