Big eyes looking at you in silence for a few moments, before flying away with the delicacy of a butterfly.

With my art I want to bring nature and all the changes that occur in it, closer to the observer.
The animal world colors, the human expressions, are essential as they show us that we can embark on an exciting journey through the human soul and nature.
I love different painting techniques, but one of my preferred mediums are soft pastels, the quality of these mediums enables me to create up subtle and rich layers of colors from where my soft and colorful evoked images appear.

My painting process involves a digital study step then reproducing on the Pastelmat Card, using soft pastels and carbothello pastels mediums, finally the artwork it' s covered with a protective layer of fixative.
The artwork will be sold without a frame, and to better preserve the painting it is recommended to use a 3D frame.
A certificate of authenticity will be shipped with the artwork, signed by the artist Maria Romano.

Upon her return to Italy, Maria seamlessly resumed her artistic pursuits, focusing on studying the intricate features of the human face and experimenting with various techniques, particularly pastels, mixed media, and oil painting.

As an artist, Maria believes in the gradual and continuous growth of her craft. Driven by an innate impulse to create, she meticulously selects and mixes colors, guided by an intangible force that seems to permeate the very air around her as she paints.
