Magali Augris is a contemporary French artist. Her journey began with a decade-long career as a textile designer and colorist, spanning locations such as Lyon, London, and Paris. A shift towards art therapy training in Nantes marked a transformative phase in her artistic exploration.
The concept of painting on canvas took root, leading to the creation of Magali's initial works. Early exhibitions at textile fairs, including Indigo Paris, set the stage for her artistic fulfillment. As her inspiration flourished, painting transitioned into her primary pursuit. Magali regularly showcases her works in cafes, restaurants, and public spaces across Paris, participating in events like the Grand Marché d'Art Contemporain and exhibiting at venues such as Lina's Cafe.
A significant turning point in Magali's artistic journey occurred during her encounter with Sylvie Lamoure in Rennes, where they found joy in painting collaboratively. The result was "Born," a series of nine paintings capturing the tender and nurturing essence of childbirth.
Relocating to the Lyon region sparked a creative renewal for Magali, with New York acting as a captivating muse. Inspired by the city's cultural richness, modernism, and art, she embarked on a series of paintings. Her artistic exploration extended to San Francisco, further enriching her portfolio.
Presently residing in Rouen, Magali continues to delve into painting, drawing inspiration from colors, symbols, and nature. This exploration serves as an endless well of creative influence, touching her at a profound level. Her focus now involves unraveling the treasures of nature, expressing her emotions, embracing her femininity, and granting herself increasing freedom to follow her artistic intuition.
