This painting is the center of the triptych, the “CUT” of the tree depicted on it visually resembles a wounded, mutilated heart. Conceptually, it is a kind of image of the heart of nature, which has stopped beating.
Cut trees sometimes take on terrible forms, but this is not the effect of nature itself, it is the work of human hands. People create monsters around themselves.
In the paintings of cut trees, the stumps are still alive, despite the fact that they have lost their original appearance. They still retain the soul of the trees they once were. That's why we see that their cuts are shining with a thin, pure light.
"Cuts" are scars that become a symbolic reminder of human

Konstyantyn Lyzogub is a contemporary Ukrainian painter. He creates abstract and realistic works, while actively using textural possibilities, bringing symbolism and allegory, his own philosophical views, compositional techniques, and form to the fore in his paintings.
In his artistic experiments, on the one hand, the artist relies on the achievements of the masters of the Renaissance, the guidelines for which he formed during his study at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. On the other hand, he looks for non-standard solutions and modern approaches to art.
The color scheme of Lyzogub's compositions is built on the basis of a restrained achromatic palette and carefully worked out details with many prescribed details, which only strengthens the emotional expressiveness of the paintings. At the center of the plots of Lyzogub's paintings is a wide range of human existence. Each painting allegorically, indirectly, by hint invites the viewer to look long into the details written by the artist and compare the name of the painting with the visible images. After all, in each of his paintings, the artist skillfully combines realism, on the one hand, and symbolism, consisting of subtle hints, on the other.
