Scenographer and visual artist, Jean-Philippe Harant found the primary sources of his inspiration in the marine and terrestrial universe.
Emerging from the raw material found along the beaches, pebbles or driftwood, his creations transfigure nature,
his eye reveals the hidden meaning of shapeless materials, while under his hands the stone comes to life, comes to life, breaks free from the frost of the mineral kingdom.
In certain exhibitions, where he moves from telluric to digital, from natural to virtual, Jean-Philippe gives us another aspect of his research.
From his past experience in the field of light, image and multimedia, he now extracts the very material of his works.
Some, like holograms floating in the blue of the sky, recompose scattered fragments on the surface of their transparent support.
In others, mysterious spider-like figures unfold which evoke the unknown writing of a still secret world.
