"I told you to be free" is an expressive mystical landscape, with a depth of space and light coming forth through the painting. Through bold strokes and a palette blending the ethereal shades of twilight, I've created an oil on canvas that embodies the essence of freedom and the unexplored depths of the soul. My abstract expressionism approach allowed the painting to flow from my innermost feelings, capturing an atmosphere of liberation and boundless potential. This piece is a celebration of life's fluidity, intended to evoke introspection and elevate any space with its mystical energy.

Jennifer Baker is a contemporary American painter celebrated for her evocative artworks that serve as tributes to life's beauty, transformation, and grandeur. With studios in both Italy and the USA, Baker's intuitive approach to painting is guided by a deep reverence for light, which she seeks to capture in every brushstroke.

Her paintings serve as poignant reminders to pause amidst the hustle of daily life and embrace moments of stillness and wonder. Drawing inspiration from meditation, intuition, and personal memories, Baker's work reflects the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world—whether it's the tranquility of a rain-soaked walk, the ethereal glow of dawn, or the serene dance of koi in a pond.

For Baker, painting is not just a talent but a sacred calling, a means of connecting with the essence of existence and inviting viewers to reconnect with their inner selves. Her artworks, characterized by dreamlike landscapes and tactile sensibilities, beckon audiences to journey inward and bask in the warmth of their own inner light.

Baker's artistic journey began with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she honed her skills and developed her unique artistic voice. Her talent has been recognized on an international scale, with her being named an awarded finalist at the Biennale di Genova in 2021.

Throughout her career, Baker's paintings have been exhibited across Europe and the United States, finding homes in private collections spanning 14 countries worldwide. Recently, her works were featured in auctions at the Orlando Museum of Fine Art, further solidifying her status as a distinguished artist of contemporary acclaim.

Balancing her time between the majestic mountains of northern Italy, the high country of Colorado, and a secluded lakeside cabin in the Ocala National Forest in Florida, Baker finds inspiration in the diverse landscapes that surround her, infusing her art with a sense of wonder and reverence for the natural world.
