"Le Gaou" est un site géologiquement accidenté au pied du Cap Sicié, à Six-Fours-les-Plages, de roches schisteuses, lui donnant un petit air, (parfois très vanté et de mer déchainée), de Bretagne. C'est un vestige pittoresque de cette zone littorale méditerranéenne dont la Corse et la voisine la Sardaigne ont déjà marqué leur caractère indépendantiste géologique en se détachant du Massif des Maures provençal, il y a quelques vingt millions d'années.
La "Vénus du Gaou" est une œuvre du sculpteur Robert Forrer implantée sur le plus haut point de la presqu’île, en 1961.
