Ivan Fabani is a contemporary Italian sculptor known for his distinctive approach to wooden sculptures. His work combines diverse subjects and carving methods, evolving from a figurative style with references to African art to his current focus on rounded, sometimes placid, sometimes vibrantly wave-like forms, emphasizing concavity and convexity.
A self-taught artist, Fabani has been passionate about wood carving since childhood, a passion that intensified after the age of 35. His first solo exhibition took place at the Albo gallery in Morbegno in October 2014. Following this, his sculptures were showcased at the Pezzini showroom in Morbegno during the inauguration of the new factory in January 2015. Many of Fabani's creations have since remained on display at this location.
