The rich summer canopy of trees is casting dark shadows amongst the vast foliage of the forest floor, there is a path with the colours of the Cheshire sandstone which runs through this scene.
This painting is textured and layered overtime with a palette knife and brush and is painted around the sides so it can be hung without a frame.
