This painting is a morning scene at the "normally busy" street. If you ever come to visit Singapore, this place serves a good bowl of Teochew minced pork noodles or bak chor, yummy satay and bee hoon too. The best part is that it opens all day and all night.

Growing up in a traditional Asian household, I experienced the weight of cultural expectations and the emphasis on academic pursuits. However, my passion for painting was always alive within me, even though I was not allowed to express it openly. Deep down, I carried the fear that I would someday regret not pursuing my artistic dreams.

The outbreak of the Covid pandemic proved to be an unexpected turning point in my life. It compelled me to let go of my fears and embrace what I truly loved. I find immense joy in the beauty that surrounds us and appreciate the small, delightful moments that occur in our everyday lives. Through my paintings, I aspire to share that joy and appreciation with others, uplifting their spirits and reminding them of the gratitude of being alive.

Each step of my artistic journey fills me with a profound sense of fulfillment. I have a message that I wish to convey to the world: Follow your heart, summon your courage, and take the necessary steps to pursue your passions. Waiting for retirement or for the perfect moment is unnecessary; the best time to pursue your dreams is now.

Join me on this transformative journey as I celebrate the beauty of life through my art. Let us inspire one another to embrace our passions and live life to the fullest. Together, we can make each moment count and create a world that cherishes and nurtures artistic expression.
