When the progress of civilization is not matched by the preservation of nature, then one of them will disappear, forever.

I was born in Banjarmasin, Indonesia in 1979. In 1998 I went to college at Modern School of Design Yogyakarta then I moved to college at Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta a year later, 1999. Then in 2003 I returned to my hometown and create my artwork in Banjarmasin until now. During the process of painting, I can freely express myself and convey my concerns about natural and social problems.

I have been interested in the expressionist-surrealism technique and style since started painting when I was 18 years old. In general, my artwork talks about changes in environmental conditions that cannot be avoided, be it changes in nature, culture, or social conditions. In the last 5 years I have often collaborated on the above issues with the spiritual side of humans. The objects in my paintings are the result of observations of animate and inanimate objects which have a strong philosophical meaning and have their own characteristics.
