Hélène Buttling, born in England, has been working as a painter for more than 35 years and has exhibited in international exhibitions in France, Italy, Poland, in British galleries and solo shows in Paris and the South West of France.
Her work is part of collections in Europe and the United States and has been featured in magazines such as "Plaisir à Peindre", Living France, Spontaneity and the American publication "Art Quench" in which she won the "Winter" competition in 2016.
Her work was selected by the European Commission of Arts for an exhibition in St. Petersburg, Russia and in 2014 the online gallery Saatchi chose her work as one of fifty artists for their collection of contemporary impressionist artists. Her commissions include portraits, landscapes and houses and several large paintings for a Maison de Maitre in Segonzac, France.
She moved to France in 1992 and has exhibted with the Association du Pastel Français and the Association du Pastel en Perigord and has had several exhibitions at the Château Talleyrand in Chalais, Charente including the "Dix" exhibitions . One of her paintings was also selected by the bank Crédit Agricole for the opening of their bank in Salgau, Germany.
She has taught painting in watercolour, pastel and acrylic for the last 20 years in her own studio gallery where she also exhibits her work.
