Raja Changez Sultan is an internationally recognized painter and poet with 46 solo exhibitions behind him and seven poetry books that are printed or are currently under print. His paintings have been exhibited extensively in Austria, England and the USA, beside Pakistan. In so far as his poetry is concerned, he has given readings at Oxford University (Lady Margaret Hall), at the poetry centre in London and at numerous other intellectual and artistic forums in the USA and Pakistan. He holds the honor of being Connecticut poet in 1972, while he was a student at Trinity College. Hartford, Conn. He has an – an MFA in Creative Writing and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University, New York, USA where he was awarded the Henry Taylor Gold Medal for international Reporting in 1972. Additionally he has a BSc from Trinity College. Hartford, Conn. USA and he took his A levels form the Royal Shrewsbury School, Shrewsbury, UK. Prior to this, he was at Lawrence College, Ghora Gali, Pakistan.

Following his studies, he was employed with United Nations (World Health Organization) in Geneva. Two Years later in 1977 he returned to Pakistan and joined the Pakistan Tourism Development Cooperation where he served in senior positions throughout his 25 year association.

His last assignment was as Director General of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts, where he served for over 3 years prior to his retirement.
