Xavier Froissart is a contemporary French artist. His current pictorial work takes the form of an exploration of the myth of Babel and the memory of lost civilizations. Around unfinished architectures, unstructured buildings, cosmic and telluric manifestations, he works on the notions of constructed and deconstructed, balance and imbalance, finished and unfinished. He thus lets us glimpse a forgotten world in mutation whose vestiges, associated with the primitive power of the color red, question us about the past and the future of human civilizations.
Xavier Froissart was born in 1951, in France. He has been exhibited nationally and internationally since 1973. He won a Gold Medal from the Society of French Artists, Paris in 1976.
