Sutton Gothic (2012) Painting by François Brisson

François Brisson is a visual artist who has throughout his life painted and sketched to interpret his feelings and perceptions. His colorful vision of the world is sometimes pastoral while at other times, turbulent. It is inspired both by his passion for still life, landscapes and a fascination with the human body in movement and at rest. His goal is to create visual poetry by capturing the moment in its splendor and simplicity.
In the last few years he has devoted more time to his artwork though continues to work as a Director of Animation and has been awarded numerous prizes. He is also currently creating his own comics, soon to be published. In addition to art, he is a serious cyclist, and many of his paintings are inspired by the landscapes encountered on his cycling routes.
