Made with a palette knife, with generous touches, this work is a nod to Rococo and the French Louis XV style, ornamented, light, elegant, Dionysian.
This style draws its inspiration from nature, through the use of floral patterns, foliage, curves and arabesques. The ornamentation is the only pretension of this flowery work of yellow roses on a gray blue background.
The tondo, here a round canvas on a circular frame, originates from the Renaissance, when portraits were painted or carved on a round format support.
The painting is signed on the front and back. This work will be delivered ready to hang, with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity.
