Elena Pichugina is a contemporary Russian artist. A feature of Elena’s author’s style is the high semantic load and centrality of the composition. The artist plays with objects and space, either mixing them, now painting some detail, now dissolving the object, trying to convey a synthesis of feelings and associations. Its concept is based on a magical perception of the world and the relationship of everything with everything. Through her paintings, Elena conveys to the viewer the thoughts of a woman who believes in Good and loves riddles and secrets. She believes and knows that her paintings can change the world for the better. And not only peace, but also to give a good impulse to a specific person. This worldview began with a fascination with fairy tales in childhood. Elena enthusiastically painted pictures based on the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and the Scandinavian epic. Then came faith in God, but the artist considers the theme of faith too personal to be widely broadcast.

Elena Pichugina was born in 1974 in Saratov. In 2000 she graduated from the St. Petersburg Academic Institute named after I. Repin, department of easel graphics. For the diploma series of color linocuts "Circus" received praise from the arts council. Returning to Saratov, she studied in the creative workshop of academician A. Uchaev. Has an award diploma from the Russian Academy of Arts. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Participant of all-Russian and international exhibitions. Elena Pichugina teaches and paints in her studio. Currently there are two series in progress: "Metaphysics of space and sound" and "Coffee with a Genius", in which the artist continues her research into the relationship and interpenetration of man and his environment.
