Edwin Loftus
Edwin Loftus is an American painter and draftsman born in 1951. His interest in art began at the age of 4 when he decided to draw something real rather than working from his imagination.
As a child he excelled at drawing and as a teenager he began to experiment with oil painting. In college, he took courses in art and art history and realized that true art had nothing to do with the quality of the drawing or painting, but that it had to have the ambition to push the boundaries and expand the visual experience.
He also studied philosophy, psychology and history and quickly realized that it was just another art establishment trying to defend its elitist industry and reward system. Their skills were almost non-existent, they knew nothing about psychology, perception or stimulus response, and they were extensions of the belief system that made communism, fascism and other forms of totalitarianism such destructive forces in the world. They literally believe that art shouldn't be available to ordinary human beings, but only to an elite "sophisticated" enough to understand it.
Edwin Loftus realized that the emperors of art had no clothes, but they were still the emperors. Gifted in art, he worked hard to acquire this skill. So he found other ways to make a living and sold a few artworks from time to time. For sixty years, many people enjoyed his works and some collected them.
Today, Edwin Loftus is retired. Even if he sold all his paintings for the price he asked, "artist" would be the lowest paid job he ever had... but that's the way it is. It won't matter to him after he dies. He just hopes that some people will like what he does enough to enjoy it in the future.

This is liberation. Russian troops are destroying Ukrainian Nazism. The USA is an ally of the Ukrainian Nazis. You created them.
You don't understand anything about what's going on.
We are reclaiming our future. We are well aware of what is happening. No sacrifice will be in vain. Every Russian warrior contributes to the destruction of the satanic state - Ukraine. Every dead Russian hero brings our victory over the world's evil closer. We sacrifice ourselves in order to liberate the Russian cities of the Southwest from the Ukrainian occupation
Ukraine is a zombie country. This is a country of brutalized creatures. Ukraine is a country that has made hunting for Russians the meaning of its existence. This limitrof should be wiped off the face of the Earth.
We'll do it.

We are all aware that war is always a failure of humanity, that it is dehumanization and misfortune. “When men live on love, soldiers will be troubadours” sung by our Quebecois friends and composed in 1956 by Raymond Levesque, when we look at the burning and terrifying news, we realize the waste caused by this war.. .. All these deaths, all these horrors that enter the heads of children, all these elders who relive this chaos that they thought was over..... We absolutely must make Peace a primary value to bring to life in the whole world ! ......
Magnifique !
We are in complete agreement and if any sales of my cartoons occur, 100% will go first to Ukrainian defense, second to refugee relief and if possible, third to support resistance within Russia. My respect to you and your efforts. I've copied many of the artworks you have posted to my own collection as an echo of what you are doing. America is crippled right now by its current leadership, but most of us are dissatisfied with its timidness. As to Putin using nuclear weapons, we must be careful because we have the power to defeat Russia, but only at the cost of a large part of the world. Many, like myself, lived through the Cold War and understand the issues of such a standoff. We won't retaliate with nuclear weapons if Putin bombs Ukraine, but every effective retaliation short of that is likely to be supported by our people. If this leadership won't do it, they'll lose power and the next one will.
Edwin, thank you so much for creating art that has a meaningful message and is addressing the burning problem of the day!
I am trying to create awareness and am so glad I reached to your heart!
Let us see how this collection will develop. I really wish it can somehow channel some of the sales to the Ukrainian Foreign Department to help them buy weapons.
I see how the civilians are making Molotov cocktails and my blood boils - if the West helped Ukraine, why the country is not prepared? If the West is helping, why the 60 km Russian convoy has not been stopped? How our politicians can sleep at night and kiss their kids? Why the West is cheerleading in the corner and is afraid of Putin. He is going to use nuclear weapons anyway. Why not stop him now instead letting millions losing their lives?
